Glazing occupations now on the Q-card

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is notifying the industry that glazing/fenestration occupations are being transferred to the GQA Qualifications (formerly Glass Qualifications Authority) Q-Card.

Following discussions between the two schemes, it is agreed that the Q-card is better placed to represent the glazing/fenestration sector and that the following occupations in this sector should be transferred:

Fenestration Surveyor
Installer: Conservatories
Installer: Curtain Wall
Installer: Windows and Doors
Glazier

All new applications, both for first time applications and renewals, for the above occupations should be directed to the GQA. More information can be found here http://gqaqualifications.com/ or by calling 0114 2720033.

As part of the card renewal process CSCS will be reminding card holders of the steps to be taken to move across to the Q-card.
